Oil painting every day since 1996.
Emma Mickelberg paints landscapes, seascapes and natural scenes in palette-knife oil. Thick paint, worked fast, with the texture left where it landed. The subjects come from cold places mostly: alpine ridgelines, arctic coast, moorland under frost, and the short warm hour at either end of the day.
Every piece is reproduced as a giclee print, set behind glass in a solid wood frame and made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse.
